The Pierce County Council is seeking volunteers to serve on the recently created Pierce County Agriculture Advisory Committee. The 13 member committee provides recommendations on issues that impact agriculture in Pierce County and acts as a forum for those interested in enhancing and promoting the long-term success of agriculture in the County. Individuals interested in serving must be residents of Pierce County or be active agricultural producers operating in Pierce County and meet other requirements based upon position.
The following positions on the committee are currently vacant and are open for appointment:
One member who is actively engaged in livestock production.
One member who is actively engaged in tree or orchard production.
One member who is actively engaged in any of the following agricultural activities: nursery production, agricultural processing industry, animal food production, aquaculture, or agricultural sales and service.
One student member who is a 4-H Member.
One student member who is a National FAA Organization member.
